EveryChild NOW, West Virginians for Affordable Health Care Announce Inaugural Conference

(CHARLESTON, WV) – EveryChild NOW and West Virginians for Affordable Health Care, in partnership with the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, and with the support of Mountaineer Food Bank, are pleased to announce the inaugural EveryChild Now Conference, February 26-27 at the Embassy Suites in Charleston, WV.

“The Inaugural EveryChild Now Conference will unite West Virginia professionals across diverse industries in a collective effort to address the holistic well-being of children,” said Tricia Kingery, Executive Director of EveryChild NOW. “Centered around the five essential data pillars – economy, education, healthcare, neighborhood, and connection – the conference aims to explore how each pillar influences the development of a well-rounded child.”

The Conference kicks off with a legislative reception at 6:00pm, followed by a full day of engaging pillar sessions. Each session will feature five concurrent, 50-minute workshops & presentations – one from each of the five pillars of child well-being.

“We’re excited to co-host the first statewide conference in over a decade focusing solely on a child’s well-being,” said Ellen Allen, Executive Director of West Virginians for Affordable Health Care. “As adults we must rally one another and work together to value, empower, and invest in every child. Together, we can build greater opportunities for children, families, and, ultimately, our state.”

The Conference will provide the opportunity to hear from advocates, leaders, and change-makers committed to improving the lives of children across West Virginia.
